Deputy Kolby Call with the Caribou County Sheriff’s Office welcomed to the Sheriff’s Office, K9 “Kina” on September 30. Kina is a 2 ½ year old Belgian Malinois. Deputy Call and Kina spent over 200 hours in training held in Soda Springs and instructed by a California trainer.
Through fundraising and donations, over $12,000 was raised toward the purchase of K9 “Kina.” Sheriff Ric Anderson and Deputy Call express their appreciation to individuals and business owners in our community that showed their support through donations; they credit the community for this new asset that will assist Sheriff’s Deputies in their continuous endeavor to eradicate the trafficking of illicit and controlled substances.
